Before I wax on about my new pattern, I would be remiss if I didn’t announce the winners of the Modern Patchwork Giveaway: Nanci and Sue. I’ve emailed you both and, as soon as I hear back, Charlie-Tucker and I will make our way to the post office and get those magazines to you both.

Today’s the day! I’m releasing my newest pattern, Klee’s Trees!

Screen Shot 2014-05-02 at 2.12.43 PM It’s available here as a downloadable and at my store as an emailed PDF.

What’s the difference? Nothing, except a few minutes. Here, you can download the PDF instantly and at my store you wait a bit for me to send you an email with the PDF as an attachment. In the next few days look for the pattern in my Craftsy store and at Pink Chalk Fabrics online. I’ll let y’all know when it goes live in those spots.

I do have a couple of promotional plans in store, so check out Cheryl Arkison’s amazing blog, Dining Room Empire, this Friday, May 9 and Erin Harris’s much loved space, House on Hill Road, next Wednesday, May 14.

To kick off this release I’m giving away two copies of Klee’s Trees to two, lucky commenters. So, leave a comment and be entered to win.

Also, I can’t end this post without mentioning that I’m planning and looking forward to a  Klee’s Trees sew-along with you all starting the first week of June. More about that in an upcoming post!

I follow you on IG and saw this trees growing – love it! Like I love Paul Klee’s work. Did you know, that he was cutting his art apart and put it back together in a different piece? Like we quilters do!

  2. Karie says:

I love this pattern & have been waiting for it to come out! I’d love a copy & will plan on keeping an eye open for the sew along. Thanks for the giveaway:)

  3. Suze Kemper says:

Oh, so pretty. I love your work. But as you know I can’t possibly make a quilt so I’m going to call you in a few months about a bedspread for our new house.

  4. Jane S. says:

So cool, SO cool! I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the .pdf. Who knows, maybe I’ll win a copy! Thank you for the chance. :)

sew-along! fun! have you heard about the new sew-along central newsletter that meg from elsie marley is developing/sending out? check it out – it’d be a perfect fit for this!

  6. Nellie says:

Malka, I love the simplicity of the pattern. When you look at the block you definitely see the tree but the wonderful fabric selection makes them stylized. Your quilting emphasizes the stylized tree and provides wonderful movement in the quilt. This is a truly dynamic pattern.

  7. Andrea says:

Klee’s Trees….Thanks for bringing Klee back into my life with this wonderful pattern. Everything about it makes my heart smile.

  8. Kim H. says:

I hope I’m not too late to be included in the give-away. I heard about it from Cheryl at Dining Room Empire.
Now that I’ve found your blog, I’m going to have fun looking at all your previous entries :)
